Fitz-Gibbon Residential
Established in 1988, Fitz-Gibbon Residential has grown to become the largest Independent residential
lettings agent in West London. Handling 600 clients,
300 — 400 rents per month with a turnover in rents in excess of £14 million per year.
Initially Fitz-Gibbon Residential purchased the Vebra EstateCraft product to handle their applicant registration and
property marketing production. In 1990 they invested in PropertyCraft, the DOS based predecessor to Vebra’s
Windows based Vebra PMS. Prior to using Vebra they relied heavily on paper based management and the
subsequent reams of endless paper trails.
Fitz-Gibbon Residential has built an outstanding reputation for offering extremely high standards of service. Enabling them to build a highly exclusive tenancy and client base, which includes some of the UK’s top banks and blue chip corporations.
Susan Fitz-Gibbon, Managing Director of Fitz-Gibbon Residential discussed why she turned to
Vebra over 16 years ago. “We were looking for a solution that would not only help handle every aspect of our
early development plans but would be robust and flexible enough to grow as our business expanded. Vebra have
achieved this, being the backbone of our back office from our early beginnings we now have 24 staff across 5
offices using the system to manage 1,000’s of transactions a month, 80 suppliers and contractors and 600 clients.”
Fitz-Gibbon Residential converted from PropertyCraft for DOS to Vebra PMS for windows in late 2003. “PropertyCraft was so simple to use.” Said Sue. “It was one of the key drivers in the success of Fitz-Gibbon Residential.” However after investing in new hardware and upgrading to EstateCraft V9 they saw it as a good time to become completely Windows based. “Vebra shone, being on hand to help with the transfer to windows based software. It was so simple and not at all disruptive, we transferred 6,000 transactions, 600 clients and hundreds of properties with minimum of effort over the space of 1 month without a single mistake.” Said Gill Young, Financial Director at Fitz- Gibbon Residential. “No rents were missed so all tenants received their exclusive and distinguished yellow Fitz-Gibbon statements on time. From a client and tenants view business was as normal throughout the transfer period.” Another philosophy that both Fitz-Gibbon Residential and Vebra share is the importance of first class training. Each new starter at Fitz-Gibbon Residential embarks on a 2 year training and development plan when they join. Susan is pleased to see how Vebra offer comprehensive induction and refresher courses in the software and has nothing but high praise for Matt Williams who delivered the required training on the transfer from DOS to windows. “Matt was very confident and professional in his presentations on how the software worked”
